METAL SPEED:

Thanks to D’Aluisio Smartweld, the Chisel is the lightest aluminum XC frame in its class. Each highly engineered frame tube features continuous variation in wall thickness and shaping that provides stiffness where you need it for efficiency and ride smoothness where you want it for comfort and optimal control.

UNLIMITED CAPACITY:

With 110mm of suspension that includes our Ride Dynamics technology, the Chisels high-performance pedigree can be traced directly back to the Epic 8, our World Cup race machine. The Epic 8s advanced DNA suspension kinematics, Ride Dynamics suspension, and progressive geometry honed on technical World Cup courses are all found in the Chisel, making it capable of tackling varied terrain with confidence and speed.

INCREDIBLY EFFICIENT:

The Chisel is the most efficient bike in its class, thanks to geometry and kinematics derived from our multi-World Cup-winning Epic 8 platform. The sloping seat tube puts the rider in the optimal pedaling position. The tapered anti-squat reduces pumping. All of this ensures that the Chisel converts every watt applied to the pedals into maximum forward motion.

MORE SOFTNESS IS FASTER:

We designed a flex-seat rear end to achieve class-leading suspension performance, while eliminating the additional weight and maintenance associated with pivots required in a traditional design. More common on carbon bikes, extensive field and lab testing proves that the Chisel has achieved the impossible: the efficiency, control and lightness of an advanced aluminum flex-seat design.

HYDROFORMED ALUMINUM:

The Chisel saves material and weight with a one-piece hydroformed seat tube that integrates the seat tube pivot, main pivot, and bottom bracket. On a more traditional bike, the seat tube is typically just a “tube” with the pivots and bottom bracket welded together.
