Thanks to D’Aluisio Smartweld, the Chisel is the lightest aluminum XC frame in its class. Each highly engineered frame tube features a continuous variation in wall thickness and shaping that provides stiffness where you need it for increased efficiency and ride smoothness where you want it for comfort and optimal control.

UNLIMITED CAPACITY:

With 110mm of suspension featuring our Ride Dynamics technology, the Chisels high-performance pedigree can be traced directly back to the Epic 8, our World Cup race machine. The DNA of the Epic 8s advanced suspension kinematics, Ride Dynamics suspension, and progressive geometry honed on technical World Cup courses are all found in the Chisel, making it more than capable of handling varied terrain with confidence and speed.

INCREDIBLY EFFICIENT:

The Chisel is the most efficient lung-powered bike in its class, leveraging the geometry and kinematics used in our multi-World Cup-winning Epic 8 platform. The sloping seat tube puts the rider in the optimal pedaling position. The tapered anti-squat reduces false pedaling. All in all, the Chisel translates every watt applied to the pedals into maximum forward motion.

SMOOTHER IS FASTER:

We designed a flex-stay rear end to deliver class-leading suspension performance while eliminating the additional weight and maintenance associated with pivots required in a traditional design. More common on carbon bikes, extensive field and lab testing proves Chisel has achieved the impossible: the efficiency, control and light weight of a flex-stay design in an advanced aluminum.

HYDROFORMED ALUMINUM:

The Chisel saves material and weight with a one-piece hydroformed seat tube that integrates the seat tube pivot, main pivot, and bottom bracket shell. On a more traditional bike, the seat tube is usually just a tube with the pivots and bottom bracket shell welded together.
