S-WORKS RECON SHOES

The new S-Works Recon shoes bring our road performance to all types of off-road cyclistsfrom the most competitive XC or marathon riders to newcomers to gravel coming from road cycling.

Thanks to scans of over 100,000 feet in our RETL biomechanical analysis system, we discovered that a slightly wider carbon sole better accommodates the diverse shapes of the human foot. The I-Beam running through the sole adds stiffness and strength, eliminating the need for extra reinforcements. The result is a stiff, comfortable, and customizable fit for maximum power transfer.

Inside and out, Body Geometry technology is integrated into the S-Works Recon. With two decades of development and data validation, Body Geometry ensures no pressure pointsonly peak performance where your body connects with the bike. The varus wedge, longitudinal arch support, and metatarsal button keep your feet in optimal pedaling position and aligned with your knees and hips.

• High-density side lugs and new spacers allow riders to fine-tune their pedaling interface for maximum efficiency and a road-like platform.

• Includes Body Geometry technology: varus wedge, longitudinal arch support, and metatarsal button.

• The asymmetric heel counter provides inner support and removes material from the outer side for a lower collar.

• The internal I-Beam adds stiffness and strength, removing the need for additional reinforcements while keeping the shoe extremely lightweight.

• Reinforcements in the forefoot and midfoot maximize support, while the new BOA lacing system improves fit and eliminates the need for a toe strap.

• 3mm, 6mm, and 9mm spacers are available via Specialized Rider Care to increase cleat stack height or correct leg length discrepancies.

• For a wider fit, the new base plate is 4 mm wider than the standard width (8 mm wider than S-Works Recon Mountain Bike shoes).
