Technical descents? Easy. The Stumpjumper Expert will rethink what a trail bike should be like.
With the new Stumpjumper Expert, we’ve contained that new-bike feeling, and transferred it to a radically new trail bike that’s agile, lively and in tune with the trail, and feels like an extension of your body. Demanding climbs? No problem.
- THE TRAIL BENCHMARK: When we set out to design the new Stumpjumper, we had some important goals. It had to excel on every type of trail and for every style of rider. To achieve this, we looked for significant weight reduction without sacrificing durability, and a stiff and responsive frame that was light and lively, geometry that improves the ride for everyone, and the best suspension kinematics we know how to design. As it turns out, the icing on the cake is the new Stumpjumper.
- THE SWEETEST 130 MM OF REACTION YOU’LL EVER WEAR: We’ve pampered the kinematics of the Stumpjumper suspension for the best all-around performance at 130 mm. Countless hours of development in the suspension lab and field testing created the most refined mid-travel we could, creating a bike that feeds off gravity in tricky terrain, with a dream ride in any situation, and climbs like it has a motor, too.
- PROGRESSIVE GEOMETRY: The S-Sizing geometry of the new Stumpjumper hits the sweet spot in progressivity. It’s long, low slack, with a short fork offset and a steeper seat tube angle. These numbers combine to make it more stable to ride, more fun to ride, and more comfortable to climb – in short, better all round. With the adjustability of the FlipChip, you can further adjust it to your riding style and tastes, ensuring that your Stumpjumper performs at its best on any type of terrain.
- RIDER-FIRST ENGINEERED: Rider-First Engineered frames use a size-specific approach to riding characteristics that guarantees a benchmark ride and flawless performance, regardless of frame size or rider size. So whether you require a tiny S1 size, or a huge S6, you’ll experience the same handling, cornering, front/rear balance, at the lowest possible weight. And by light, we mean: 2,250 grams (S-Works, size S-3, with rear shock).
- SWAT: We launched the SWAT hatch on the Stumpjumper in 2016, adding space INSIDE the frame to carry everything you need in case of complications like a pump and spare inner tubes, leaving your jersey pockets free.
